Ms. Ruth Batten is the Ozone Secretariat's Administrative and Fund Management Officer, primarily responsible for the provision of financial, administrative and general services to the Secretariat and to the Assessment Panels of the Montreal Protocol. She also coordinates the preparatory logistical arrangements for the meetings of Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol, including the provision of financial assistance to enable delegates and assessment panel members from Article 5 countries to attend the Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol meetings.

Prior to joining the Ozone Secretariat in September 1999, Ms Batten was a Fund Programme Management Officer at the UNEP Division of Global Environment Facility. Previously she also worked in administrative and managerial capacities in other organizations. Ms. Batten has a master's degree in Education and Linguistics.
