Katherine Theotocatos joined the Ozone Secretariat as Programme Officer (Compliance) in October 2016.
Katherine holds degrees in commerce and law, and was admitted to the roll of attorneys in South Africa in 1994. After working for some time in the private sector and government, she moved into the international arena in 2000. She has several years of experience as a legal officer within the UN Secretariat (UN Habitat in Kosovo, UN Register of Damage in Vienna, and most recently UN Environment in Nairobi) and has also worked with other international organizations including the International Organization for Migration and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, both based in Geneva. Over the years Katherine has developed considerable experience in the management of legal processes and stakeholder engagement.
