I, Holger König, nominated by Germany and residing in Lindau, Germany, co-chair of chapter “Sustainable Refrigeration” and contributing member to chapter “Transport Refrigeration” of the RTOC, declare as follows:
1) I have read the Conflict of Interest and Disclosure Guidelines for the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel, its Technical Options Committees and Temporary Subsidiary Bodies (“the COI Guidelines”) as adopted by the Meeting of the Parties in Decision XXIV/8.
2) My responsibilities include
I work as an independent consultant in various refrigeration technology projects. I have founded the company ref-tech engineering in 2012, an independent consulting organization with experts as partners. Services are related to product development for equipment and systems operating in transport refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, heat exchangers and compressors. I am working on risk assessments for refrigerants, investigation of annual energy consumption and operation of transport refrigeration equipment, on development of safety concepts, on a hydrocarbon refrigerant strategy project for the German Environmental Department and on certification of products. I am member of German standardization committee for safety. At ISO TC 104 Thermal Container, I am working as project leader for the development of a safety standard for flammable refrigerants for reefer container. Currently I work for international companies on future refrigeration technologies. Since 1994 I have been involved in matters related to the Montreal Protocol.
I do not own stock or have proprietary interest in companies producing ODS or their alternatives or substitutes, or companies developing or producing equipment that would apply (use) these.
3) This declaration constitutes my written agreement, pursuant to paragraph 8 of the COI Guidelines, to comply with the Guidelines. I understand that this written agreement is a condition of my service.

6) Pursuant to paragraph 11 of the COI Guidelines, I declare that I have not declined to disclose information falling within paragraph 10 of those Guidelines.
7) I undertake to disclose any material change to any of the above information, pursuant to paragraph 9 of the COI Guidelines, within 30 days of any such change.
8) I undertake to make further declarations of interest annually for so long as I remain a member of the RTOC.
9) I understand that this DOI will expire no later than one year after I have signed it.
