Sherlyne Omangi joined the Ozone Secretariat in September 2024 as United Nations Volunteer for programme management.
She is specialized in environmental planning, urban development, and climate policy. She worked with international organizations, including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) before joining the Secretariat. At UNEP, she contributed to various projects within the Private Sector and Sustainable Mobility Unit, focusing on sustainable transport, energy efficiency, and pesticide management. Prior to UNEP, Sherlyne worked as an Urban Mobility Consultant at the Stockholm Environment Institute, where she focused on air pollution, transport decarbonization, and overall city health and well-being in Africa and Southeast Asia.
Sherlyne holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Planning and Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
