Bureau of the Meeting of Parties

The Bureau of the Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol was established in 1989 at the First Meeting of the Parties. The Bureau is composed of the President, three Vice-Presidents and a Rapporteur who are elected by each Meeting of the Parties.

The Bureau meets at least once between two Meetings of the Parties to review the work of any working groups established by the parties during their meetings, to consider topics on the agenda for the next meeting of the parties and to review the meeting documents which are prepared by the Secretariat.
