The Implementation Committee is responsible for receiving, considering and reporting on any submissions related to non-compliance with the Montreal Protocol. Although it was established as a temporary committee, it was later voted to remain permanent.
The Committee consists of 10 parties, elected at the Meeting of the Parties. If any party to the Protocol does not comply with the established standards, the Committee will gather information as necessary and report its recommendations at the Meeting of the Parties. The parties will then decide the best ways to encourage full compliance, including measures to assist the party involved.
