Medical and Chemicals Technical Options Committee (MCTOC)

The Medical and Chemicals Technical Options Committee (MCTOC) is one of the five Technical Options Committees of the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel. MCTOC assesses the use and phase-out of controlled substances in various applications including as process agents, as feedstock, in laboratory and analytical uses; and keeps abreast of technologies that destroy controlled substances effectively. It also monitors any emerging uses of controlled substances and their substitutes in medical applications even after the successful phase out of CFCs in metered-dose-inhalers in 2016.
