The Flexible and Rigid Foams Technical Options Committee (FTOC) is one of the five Technical Options Committees of the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel. Foams are used in buildings and equipment as insulation; in furniture and cars; in boards, panels, shoes and many other products. The Committee assesses the replacement of controlled substances which are used as foam blowing agent in manufacturing various types of foams. It monitors the development and application of substitutes and alternative technologies.
