A roadmap for sustainable cooling-what will it take?
Time Description Venue
13:00
Organizer: World Bank Description:  With climate change increasingly impacting global development, "sustainable cooling" has become a new frontier. Global action on sustainable cooling is now inevitable to achieve climate and development goals.

It is necessary to transform the cooling sectors and deliver access to sustainable and affordable cooling for all who need it, which in turn would support faster progress to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement and Kigali Amendment. The World Bank is developing a multi-sectoral roadmap for sustainable cooling and has joined "the Cool Coalition" led by UNE, CCAC, KCEP and SEforALL with the aim of accelerating actions on climate-friendly cooling.

The event will provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges of sustainable cooling in the context of climate, sustainable development, and finance. It will also exchange views with participants on the World Bank roadmap, particularly with regard to the critical role of cooling for the development agenda, what actions governments and the cooling industry will need to take and how international institutions can facilitate a transition to sustainable cooling.
