Online forum: Unexpected emissions of CFC-11

A separate tab for CFC-11 in the online forum can be accessed here.

The purpose of the forum for CFC-11 is to enable parties to comment and ask questions on the CFC-11 reports of SAP and TEAP prior to the online technical meeting on CFC-11. The Panels will then be able to consider them as they prepare for their presentations to be delivered at the meetings. Parties may also wish to pose questions and make further comments during the question-and-answer sessions at the meeting.

The tab will be opened on 31 May and will be closed to commenting on 21 June.

3. Meeting on energy efficiency: 16 & 17 July 2021

The third meeting on energy efficiency, comprising two substantially identical sessions to facilitate participation from different time zones, will focus on the TEAP presentation of its September 2020 report on energy efficiency, followed by a session for questions and-answers, and general statements.

Format: online

Time: 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon (Nairobi time (UTC + 3)) on 16 July, and the second from 4.00 to 7.00 p.m. (Nairobi time (UTC + 3)) on 17 July (see the time zones listed below)

Online forum: Energy Efficiency

A separate tab for energy efficiency in the online forum can be accessed here.

The purpose of the forum for energy efficiency is to enable parties to comment and ask questions on the energy efficiency report of TEAP (issued in September 2020) prior to the online technical meeting on energy efficiency. The Panel will then be able to consider them as they prepare for their presentations to be delivered at the meetings. Representatives may also wish to pose questions and make further comments during the question-and-answer sessions at the meeting.

The tab will be opened on 31 May and will be closed to commenting on 21 June.

Online Forum: Critical Use Nominations (CUNs)

A separate tab for CUNs in the online forum can be accessed here.

The purpose of the forum for CUNs is to enable parties to comment and ask questions on the interim report of TEAP on CUNs. The Methyl Bromide Technical Options Committee (MBTOC) will respond to the questions in writing in the online forum. Following the standard procedure, the nominating parties and MBTOC will hold bilateral consultations as necessary and MBTOC will prepare its final report on CUNs for consideration by the parties at MOP33 later in October.

The tab will be opened on 31 May and will be closed to commenting on 21 June. The MBTOC responses to the questions on the CUNs report will be posted in the forum thereafter.

Remote Simultaneous Interpretation Disclaimer

The remote simultaneous interpretation of the proceedings is provided by the United Nations for the purpose of facilitating communication, in the six official languages of the United Nations. Participants are requested to be mindful of the additional difficulties experienced by interpreters when working in remote mode and of the increased likelihood of disruptions to the audio-visual feed to the interpreters, potentially leading to the interruption of interpretation services. Only the speech or intervention in the original language is authentic and constitutes an authentic record of the proceedings. In case of any inconsistency between the interpretation and the speech or intervention in the original language, the latter shall prevail.

Interpreters using a Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) platform to service remote meetings, cannot be held liable for interruption of service, pixilation, freezing or loss of visual input, partial or complete loss of audio, audible artefacts, unauthorized access to personal or confidential data, leaking of information due to inadequate soundproofing, and/or data loss.
