Implementing and Enforcing National F-gas Rules: Turning Commitments into Action
Time Description Venue Documents
13:00 - 15:00
Organizer: Cool Up programme - Oeko-Recherche

Title: Implementing and Enforcing National F-gas Rules: Turning Commitments into Action

Description: Effective implementation of the Kigali Amendment hinges on robust national frameworks that bring the HFC phase-down schedule to life. This session explores how countries are translating climate goals into tangible action through national and sub-national measures. Participants will gain insights into the practical approaches, such as targeted training of enforcement entities, the introduction of product bans, fiscal instruments like taxation, and incentive schemes that accelerate the transition to climate-friendly cooling. Real-world examples from the Cool Up programme and beyond will illustrate how policy design and enforcement can work hand-in-hand to drive sustainable change across the cooling sector.
