Combined twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (part II) and Thirty-Third Meeting of the Parties

Title: Nitrous Oxide (N₂O): Solutions NOW
 

Abstract: The International Nitrogen Initiative and the Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development present N₂O: Solutions Now at the 33rd Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol. The event will provide an overview of readily available solutions that mitigate N₂O emissions in the industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as potential avenues through which N₂O emissions may be addressed within and/or with the support of the Montreal Protocol.  This event builds on discussions of N₂O presented in various past side events. The presenters and their respective topics are:

o             Prof. David Kanter (International Nitrogen Initiative; New York University) - N₂O in the Montreal Protocol

o             Mr. Marco Poggianella (Save Our Planet) - Technology to Mitigate Agricultural N₂O Emissions

o             Mr. Enrico Rubertus (GIZ; Nitric Acid Climate Action Group Initiative) - Financing Abatement of Industrial N₂O Emissions
