Decarbonising the Cooling Value Chain: Good Practice Guidance on how to Accelerate Decarbonisation and Achieve Net Zero by 2050
Time Description Venue
13:00 - 15:00
Organizer: The Carbon Trust

Title: Decarbonising the Cooling Value Chain: Good Practice Guidance on how to Accelerate Decarbonisation and Achieve Net Zero by 2050

Description: The Carbon Trust hosts a side event focused on the launch of two comprehensive good practice guides, developed in collaboration with global cooling businesses and industry stakeholders. These guides offer valuable insights and lessons from businesses leading the way in their Net Zero decarbonisation journeys, with a particular focus on overcoming the complex challenge of Scope 3 emissions.

Alongside the guide launch, we will host a panel discussion with industry stakeholders, providing participants the chance to hear directly from experts about practical steps to accelerate decarbonisation efforts. The panel will address key challenges faced by cooling businesses when implementing decarbonisation strategies, real-world examples of managing Scope 3 emissions, and pathways for decarbonising value chains. It will also highlight opportunities to advance the adoption of low-GWP refrigerants and more energy-efficient technologies.

This event shall serve as a platform for cooling industry stakeholders to engage, exchange knowledge, and share lessons to drive decarbonisation and successfully navigate the transition to Net Zero.
