VNIIPO has an interest in the topics of the Montreal Protocol because it is a body responsible for technical control of Montreal Protocol related issues in Russia.

MSE is actively engaged in matters related to the Montreal Protocol, as the company delivers comprehensive fire protection design solutions for government agencies, corporate clients, and public sector projects, including initiatives involving halon alternatives. In addition to my managerial responsibilities, I hold a Compliance role as a Member of the Fire Protection Technical Committee (FPTC), where I contribute to the implementation of the Egyptian Code for Professional Fire Protection Engineers. I also support the administration of educational programs aimed at enhancing engineers’ expertise in areas such as clean agents, ozone protection, and greenhouse gas management.

JCI has an interest in the topics of the Montreal Protocol because it provides a wide range of fire protection solutions, to a large array of customers, including work related to halons, hydrofluorocarbons and their alternatives. I also sit on (and Chair) many industry groups and provide technical advice to those groups.

This is one of the largest companies in the world dealing with Environmental Issues and it operates in over 150 countries. My main objective is to liaise with Aviation Airframe, Engine Design Manufacturers, Commercial Aviation Airlines (IATA) and Regulatory Bodies to deal with the complex, technical and environmental issues associated with HALON 1301 and to find a replacement fire suppression agent that is environmentally friendly to provide the equivalent level of fire safety as provided by HALON 1301. Constantly in contact with commercial airlines to keep them up to date on the work that is still ongoing to find a suitable replacement. Working continually with regulators to ensure that the theoretical and practical fire training standards for flight/cabin crew are delivered in line with environmental standards now using fire suppression agents that are now replacing HALON 1211. Continually reviewing the commercial aviation requirements for the availability of HALON 1301 to support its needs and if a bank is available for some years to come. With International Regulations on the restricted use of PFAS foams for use by airports fire and crash services and used in aircraft assembly/maintenance hangars providing technical advice as to how they can make this change to meet new environmental standards that International regulations require to be in place in a very short time frame. Cooperating and liaising with environmental interested parties that are all involved working on policies to facilitate this change.
